Terms of use
Last updated: 2026-05-16 · beta-phase summary.
CodeSwain is invite-only beta software. By using it, you agree to the points below. A formal Terms of Service lands when paid billing opens.
The deal during beta
- No charge. Billing is disabled during the invite-only beta. The Subscribe surface in the dashboard is intentionally inactive.
- No SLA, no warranty. The service may break, lose data, or stop existing. Don’t rely on it as a critical-path system.
- We can revoke access. If beta usage causes us trouble (cost, safety, abuse) we may pause or remove your tenant. We’ll email you first when we can.
- Feedback is welcomed and may shape the product. Anything you send us about how it works (bug reports, feature ideas) we may use to improve CodeSwain, without owing royalties.
What you agree not to do
- Don’t circumvent metering. When billing opens, the unit of value is each PR we open and you merge. Closing a CodeSwain PR and re-committing its diff under your own authorship to avoid the merged-PR count is a violation of these terms. We can revoke access and bill backdated usage if we detect this pattern.
- Don’t use CodeSwain to attack other systems — no malware generation, no targeting infrastructure you don’t own, no scraping at scale.
- Keep your credentials yours. Don’t share your account or use one tenant to do work for unrelated parties.
- Your code stays your code. CodeSwain authors PRs against your repo on your behalf; ownership and license of the resulting code stays with you and your organisation.
